This story is true in every detail. And that is it so cool, because if it was not known, you'd think, that is another adventure story of adventurer, who is looking for treasures, and on the occasion of the tumor. Fortunately, Tom is not poking fun of the tumor itself, but collects unusual material, which combined with the style of writing, who is able to intrigue and draw the reader makes, that Fever, which had its premiere yesterday, is really a nice book.

It is hard to escape comparisons with Samsara, though it is inherently very different books. But they share a, that Tom has a talent for writing history, are not mere description of travel or destinations, but looking theme. Previously, they were generally unreliable things, now – lust of money, who can push people to crazy or cruel deeds. Besides, no one in Poland did not write unless the Raiders treasures.
There is yet another common denominator – Tom's writing style. Light, makes a nice and funny, that the book is read in one breath. Plastic descriptions allow you to imagine a well-bathed in neon light, and Las Vegas, however dark or hot African bush. While reading the pass before the eyes of the western scene, gangster films, about pirates and documentaries.
Between Samsara a Fever This can be indicated for one vital difference. This, what Tom did in Samsara, could repeat (and certainly repeats) spore grono backpackerów. The author stresses the fact, that anyone can do exactly the same. And to repeat the search with Fever ordinary man would have to toil well. While I suspect, that and a lot of Tom nagimnastykował, to collect material for a book.
The book reads really happy, because on the one hand there is no lack in the humor and adventure worthy of Indiana Jones or privateer John Marten, on the other relevant observations and descriptions of awareness, what people can do for money – such little warning for all.
It is while reading Fever jeden time, when I feel like the author to do a little scene – when the story ends with Tony Tucker. It's probably the scariest thing for the reader – do not know, what is the end of an interesting thread. Although still a plus for Tom, that writes, as, and not making it up any termination, write something just to satisfy readership and curiosity.
But – I like it – I have to attach it to something, because otherwise it would be too sweet :) There are two passages in the book, which are not fully fit me for the rest. One is the description of Tom's entry into San Quentin prison – at the end of this passage speaks of Lieutenant Robinson offenders, which can make movies. And such a people he meets along the way Tom. This would show what man's obsession could lead, but the relationship is for me a little visible. The second is a description of the marathon in some African village – interesting, but somewhat unrelated to the rest of the book.
At one point, Tom also writes about Spanish King Philip there Match. Given the effort and the effort put by him in check all ambiguities, dispel doubts and access to the facts, I quite this there any does not correspond. Check, Philip, who exactly issued the edict mentioned in chapter, probably would not be that difficult.
Despite minor comments book I recommend as a really nice entertainment and I think, that has a greater chance to succeed, than Samsara. Nicely delivered (though still saying, that the book slightly cheaper doceniłabym, but given the lower paper), embellished with interesting photographs illustrating the well-reported stories, solid position for people curious and lovers of adventure.
Aha, at the end of yet – I did not expect, that one of the greatest adventures in life was to see Tom Michniewicz giraffes ;)
